St. Johnsbury, Vermont
Originally a converted barn and faculty house, these buildings were
transformed by Black River Design Architects into a faculty/student
dormitory with a new common area linking the two buildings. The center
link was framed with structural steel but features glue-laminated timber
beams and wood decking for the vaulted roof framing.
